Core body selection depends on application and core geometery. Most products can be tailored to achieve customer specific shrinkages. In most cases, we can adapt our process to suit existing tooling.
All cores are 100% leachable and tests have shown that SALENTEC cores can be leached up to 30% faster than those from other suppliers.

The correct formulation of material ceramic core plays an important role for the success of the investment casting process.
The materials supplied by Salentec are due to an excellent compatibility with alloys, thanks to an adequate quality standard.
Strengthening
Ceramic core are fragile. They are impregnated in a substance to strenghten them and avoid any breakage during transport and handling. Usually there are three typys of system: urea, resin and others. We prefer to use resin impregnation. Dependent on core geometry/cross section, strengths can typically be improved by a factor of 2 to 4 times. Coatings could be applied to cores, where suitable, to eliminate surface reaction with certain alloys.
